Since graduating from college in 1996 with a Bachelors Degree in English Writing Arts and Art, I've used my graphic design training in various capacities, from designing and maintaining a website for a prep school to making invitations for events and parties. I've also put together endless newsletters, ads, logos, and brochures. Many of my designs also include my own photography.

In the past two years, I've thoroughly enjoyed combining my love of the written word with graphic design to create my own blogs. This passion has unleashed a furry of blog designing for friends and family, and now I am happy to bring it to you at Designs by Elisa.

I like to approach each design first by finding out from the client their vision, personality, and unique gifts through a series of conversations and questions. As I begin the design process, I explore color, shape, and content to combine the elements of traditional design with the client's needs in the forefront of my mind. When it comes to producing a final project, I look at it holistically. Does this work meet the need of the client in a creative and practical way, standing apart for it's uniqueness yet not compromising usability?

My passion as designer is not limited to graphic work. You'll find my creative juices being satisfied in many areas, and as a result, inspired by those roles, too. Whether it be as a mom to four bright and beautiful kids, as wife to a supportive husband, as a friend and sister, or even as mentor to teen girls. Each part of my life is woven together by the Creator, and what comes out from my fingertips is truly an expression from Him.

Affordable Designs

I am passionate about using the gifts God has given me both for pleasure and practical needs. If you're on a tight budget and are willing to work on flexible schedule, I'd love to use these gifts to bless you. If the timing is right and the project is within my ability, I'd be happy to consider creating something affordable especially for you.

Affordable is such a vague term, so let me give you a general idea of my fees. These estimates are based on how much time I typically spend creating a design combined. If more time is involved, then I'll will increase the price by $10.00 for each additional hour dedicated to your project, which I will communicate with you about before charging you. I require that payment needs to be made in full via Pay-Pal before I begin the work.

Button only................... $20.00

Header only..................$30.00

Partial Blogger Design.....$50.00 which includes header graphic, template colors, font selection, and installation

Full Blogger Design.....$75.00 which includes header graphic, background graphic, template colors, font selection, button and code for your sidebar, favicon, and installation

Full Blogger Website Design....$100.00 which includes header graphic, background graphic, template colors, font selection, button and code for your sidebar, favicon, and installation, plus menu navigation bar and related pages formatted

Please note: Custom Blogger Designs do not work with Blogger widgets, which means you will need to replace your sidebar after installation.

Pre-Made..........................$18 for a pre-made header available here

Photography....................determined based on project and supplies, as in a particular flower or still life

Invitations, Announcements, Flyers, Newsletters......determined based on project

Prices are subject to change at any time. I am also willing to negotiate a price based on your need and the level of sophistication of your design idea.

The Design Process

I'm big on the communication process, so let me give you an idea of how this would work. After discussing your ideas and fielding a series of questions that will enable me to determine if I am the right designer for your needs, I will send you a Terms of Design. This email will list your specifications, timeframe, and estimate. After I receive payment via PayPal, I'll begin work on the specified date, and most likely communicate with you on a regular basis. You'll receive a "Final Proof" for your approval. If changes need to be made, which are not a result of my mistake, the hourly rate will kick in until the project is completed.

After I receive your final approval, then I'll send you a .png and .jpg file via email for your personal use, or will need to be set up as a temporary administrator on your blog in order to implement the design. I require that you that you give credit to Designs by Elisa and not share or reproduce the design work.

Pre-Made Designs

If you'd like something new for your blog, but don't want to spend the time or money on the design process, you can choose one of these Pre-Made Design headers, which will be updated regular. They are unused designs from other projects, that still have great elements and exactly the look you desire for your blog.

For $18, you'll receive the design header personalized with your blog name. If you need additional services, like installing the header or customizing Blogger colors, I can do so for an additional $10.
